Maternity & Motherhood Photography in Upstate South Carolina

For the bump, the newborn haze, and the everyday closeness that goes by faster than anyone warns you.

I'm Alicia — a photographer, a wife, and a mom myself. I know how it feels to be deep in a season of motherhood that everyone tells you to savor while you're too tired to see it clearly. That's exactly why these sessions matter to me.

Whether you're rounding out those last weeks of pregnancy, holding a brand-new baby who won't be this small again, or chasing a toddler who's suddenly not a baby at all — this is a moment worth marking. My motherhood and maternity sessions are gentle, natural-light, and built around you. No stiff poses, no forced glamour. Just the real, tender weight of this season, captured in the golden hour light Upstate South Carolina does so beautifully.

Every stage of motherhood deserves to be honored — the bump, the newborn, and the toddler years that blur by too fast.

FAQs

What should I wear for a maternity session?

Flowing fabrics and soft, solid tones photograph beautifully and let the bump be the focus. Once you book, I'll send guidance and, if it's helpful, ideas for where to find pieces you'll feel wonderful in.

Can my partner and older kids join?

Please bring them. Some of the most moving frames from these sessions are the ones where a partner's hands or a big sibling's cheek meet the belly. This is your whole family's season, too.

Do you photograph newborns?

I focus on natural-light motherhood and maternity sessions rather than traditional in-studio newborn posing. If you'd like to capture your new baby in soft, at-home or outdoor light — with you in the frame, because you belong there — that's exactly the kind of session I love.

When is the best time to schedule maternity photos?

Most mamas feel their best somewhere between 28 and 34 weeks — round and glowing, but still comfortable enough to move. If you're not sure where you fall, reach out and we'll figure out your timing together.
