Family Photography in Clemson & Upstate South Carolina
Unhurried, natural-light sessions for the people you love most — made in the golden hour, kept for a lifetime.
I'm Alicia, and for nearly twenty years I've been photographing the families — the belly laughs, the wiggly toddlers, the quiet way a dad rests his chin on his daughter's head without even realizing he's doing it.
A session with me isn't a stiff, say-cheese afternoon. We meet outdoors in the hour before sunset, when the light goes soft and gold, and then we mostly just… let your family be your family. We walk a little, we talk, the kids get to be kids. I catch the real moments as they happen, and I gently guide you into the ones that don't happen on their own. You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need everyone to be perfectly behaved. You just need to show up as you are.
Because these seasons go fast — and the ordinary, everyday version of your family right now is exactly the one you'll want to remember.

FAQs
What is a generational family session? It's a portrait session built around multiple generations of one family together — grandparents, parents, and children, and often great-grandparents and new babies too. The goal is to capture the whole family line in one place, in one season, so that gathering becomes something you can hold onto forever.
How do you manage a session with so many people and ages?
Gently, and with a plan. I choose locations that are easy on the oldest and youngest members, I keep the pace unhurried, and I photograph the whole group first while everyone's fresh, before moving into smaller groupings. Nearly twenty years of sessions means large groups don't rattle me.
Where are good locations for a multigenerational session near Clemson?
The lake communities of Lake Keowee and Lake Hartwell are especially beautiful for these, along with private family properties and the fields around Central and Pendleton. When grandparents' mobility is a consideration, I'll help you choose somewhere gorgeous and easy to reach.
We have family traveling in for a short visit — can you work around that?Yes, and these are some of my favorite sessions to make. Tell me the dates someone's in town and we'll build the session around that window. When everyone's gathered is exactly when these photographs need to happen.
